     My greatest earthly achievement in lifeis to have married my wife Sarah and have brought 5 children into the world. My 2 main passions are art and Music.

 I have always been intense about my music and had musical and arty

 aspirations since the hip-hop culture emerged in the UK in the early 80’s.

 Lack of confidence in expressing myself to others lead me to

 cannabis. My ultimate goal each day, was to be in a place where I couldn’t move

 a muscle; this was ‘my’ peace. It was an addiction for me and I couldn’t live

 without it, so I dealt and would travel great lengths to be ‘stoned’ every day.

     

     One day, in 1994, my lovely wife (of 23 years now) was invited to a church

 meeting, where a visiting speaker was preaching. I had a good feeling about it.

 When she came back, she was literally ‘glowing’ and I instantly recognized

 something beautiful had happened. I knew I wanted what she had. I now know

 she had been filled with His Holy Spirit. I went to the meeting the next night, I

 got filled myself. This amazing experience introduced me to faith in God the

 Holy Spirit, and I was very soon introduced to The Father and His Son.

     Not long after this, I was praising God with spontaneous rhymes, in my front

 room and I was filled with His Holy Spirit again. This time, the peace was so

 overwhelming that I couldn’t move a muscle, ‘God’s peace’! I saw beautiful

 colours and literally felt water pouring on my inside. At that moment, I realized

 that God not only knew my need, but was giving me what I had been looking for

 in the cannabis, but this time, it was the real thing, with none of the side affects.

 My head was perfectly clear, and now I knew I could be free of my addiction!

 

     This cemented my faith and set me on my pathway with God.

 Since I found God, my savior, I have been through the hardest times of my life,

 but I have found breakthrough and real peace through praising God in creative

 ways. A scripture that has helped me massively is in 2 Chronicles 20 , the story

 of Jehoshophat’s amazing deliverance against all odds. The central theme of the

 story is around believing and praising God for his word, especially in Dire

 circumstances and when all odds are stacked against you.

 

     For me, house music has been a vehicle that has taken me to God’s

 Chain-breaking presence when I have needed Him the most. Dancing for Him in

 house music and being creative in worship, is what has brought about much

 deliverance and blessing for me.

 

     I believe that all genres of music can be harnessed for the gospel and that the

 church needs to take back what has long been abandoned, and use it for His

 Glory! The Kingdom of God will advance, and Hell’s gates will not hold God’s

 people back !! (based on Mathew 16 vs 18)
