My name is Chris Salisbury. I was born in 1974 in Southern California. I grew up between Charlotte NC, Dallas TX, and Palmdale CA.

During my childhood, I attended various church denominations from Baptist to Pentecostal. At the age of 16, I became aware of my need for a savior and accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord. I can’t say that life has been sunshine and rainbows since that encounter because I would be misrepresenting the Christian life. I still deal with everyday life as everyone else does. I still struggle with things like temptation and people who annoy me. The only difference is I have a redeemer who forgives me, a Holy Spirit who comforts me, and I have peace in my heart that when this is all over I know my future is secure, and I have a place reserved for me in Heaven. In case you’re interested, I attend a great Assembly Of God church called Mission Hill.

I have a huge passion for music of all types, but specifically have been into club and hip hop music my whole life. My favorite time for music is my high school years from 1988 - 1993. Maybe it is just because it was during my high school years, but I think the creativity level of the music during these years was amazing.

I graduated from Palmdale High School, via Desert Winds (I was extremely lazy during my sophomore year and ditched school, causing me to have to go through an extra year of classes so I could graduate). I attended Rhema Bible Training Center in Broken Arrow, OK from 1993 - 1995 with the thought in mind of going into youth ministry.

In 1998, I married a beautiful woman, Crystal. She has been amazing to me and puts up with all my stupidity and dumb movies and TV shows I watch. I can’t imagine my life without anybody else.

From the early 1990’s, I have been a mobile DJ and an aspiring club / rave DJ as well as wrote my own music under many aliases. You may have heard some of my aliases; Curious C, SERV, dj404, electricJESUSmachine (or eJm), fluffypuppy, and most recently Christopher Carl.

I have also hosted many internet radio shows since 1999 and have owned Cast The Fire, which was an online radio station aimed at Christians looking for music that breaks out from typical Christian music. While CTF was primarily a playlist of music, it also hosted a few live shows for DJ’s who wanted to broadcast. CTF closed down in December 2008 due to financial reasons and some health concerns I was dealing with at the time.
